Lawn Aeration

Commercial and Residential Services Available

Lawn aeration is the process of creating small holes in the soil to allow air, water, and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn. By aerating your lawn, you open many micro channels for nutrients and air to dive deeper to the core of your lawn where the roots are. The best time to aerate your lawn is during the growing season when the grass can heal and fill in any open areas after soil plugs are removed. For cool-season grass, this is typically in the early spring or fall. For warm-season grass, late spring or early summer is best. Aeration can be done manually with a garden fork, or with a mechanical aerator for larger lawns. After aeration, it’s a good idea to apply fertilizer and water your lawn to encourage recovery and growth.
